Shyamala: Vairaoosi Green Kanjeevaram, Reta Pett Border
By Kanchipuram Master Weavers
Saree Story
Green is my first word, bright as leaf catching sun, and I say it with pinstripes of fine gold running through me like a hundred quiet promises kept. Do you see the jhumkas scattered across my body? Small gold bells that never ring but somehow you still hear them. My border turns serious where the wine-maroon begins, arches rising one after another, dense and unhurried, the kind of pattern that takes its time. Kanchipuram taught me restraint on the body and drama at the edges, and I have never forgotten the lesson. Call me Shyamala. The green was always mine to keep.
Handloom Perfection
Handloom sarees are made by human hands, not machines. Which means every piece carries the natural variations of the loom and the weaver, proof that someone, somewhere, made this just for you.
Description
A pure Kanjeevaram silk saree in a bright leaf green, ruled through with fine gold pinstripes and scattered with hanging jhumka (bell-drop) buttis in gold zari.
