Saree Story
Kili's Story: I am Kili, and I carry a white parrot on royal blue, built dot by careful dot by a hand that knew exactly what it was making before it began. My bottle green body sits quiet beside it, grounded by a clean gold border. My pallu answers in Kalakshetra's own stripes, red, teal, grey and green, until both halves of me are speaking the same language. I am pure Katan from Maldah, the kind of cloth that stays with you long after you've stopped looking.

Description
On a canvas of electric royal blue katan silk, a large white resham parrot sits composed and certain, built dot by careful dot, every feather placed by a hand that knew exactly what it was making. Around it smaller butti keep the rhythm. The bottle green body beside it carries its own quiet resham butti with a clean gold zari border, grounded and still. Then the pallu unfolds in the Kalakshetra's signature stripes, red, teal, grey and green, pulling both panels into one conversation. A saree with a bird in it. The kind that stays with you. Woven in Bishnupur, Bankura. No middlemen, no blends, no shortcuts. Only the cloth and the hands that made it. One garment. Two authors.

Care Instructions
Silk rewards patience. Dry clean for the first wash. After that, cold water and a gentle hand. Never wring it, never rush it. Dry in the shade — silk and sunlight are not friends. Iron on the reverse, low heat, while it is still slightly damp.
