Saree Story

I am Kesari. I am like the sunshine that warms your soul. Lightweight and nimble, I add those extra two steps in your dancing feet. Feel my colour, my shine, the buttis that do all the talking, and you will never ask for anything more. I stay light on the body but never light on presence, that balance was never an accident. Some warmth doesn't need to shout to be remembered.

Handloom Perfection

Handloom sarees are made by human hands, not machines. Which means every piece carries the natural variations of the loom and the weaver, proof that someone, somewhere, made this just for you.

Description

Kesari is a lightweight katan silk Banarasi in mustard gold, her body scattered with small gold floral butis in an easy, breathing rhythm. Her border runs into a dense vine of florals and leaves in gold, while the pallu carries the richest moment, a fine diamond lattice bordered by the same floral vine on both edges.

Weaver

Although Naushad ji maintains a limited public profile, he represents the kind of weaving family that forms the backbone of the Mubarakpur cluster. Deep technical knowledge, family-run looms, and generations of experience in Banarasi weaving.

Fabric

Woven in lightweight katan silk, this saree has a smooth, fine texture with a soft natural sheen. It drapes with an easy, fluid movement, making it comfortable for long wear while still holding its shape and shine.

Technique

The floral butis are built using the kadhua technique, each motif woven individually and directly into the silk with the extra weft method, giving it a raised, textured finish rather than a flat printed look. The border and pallu lattice carry the same handloom precision, a hallmark of fine Banarasi craftsmanship.

Saree with Blouse Piece

Care Instructions

Silk rewards patience. Dry clean for the first wash. After that, cold water and a gentle hand. Never wring it, never rush it. Dry in the shade — silk and sunlight are not friends. Iron on the reverse, low heat, while it is still slightly damp.
