Falguni's Story: My best friend says I am Falguni because I walk into a room the way spring does, all at once, without knocking first. She's the one who noticed it, not me. Something about the way my mustard and magenta refuse to stay inside their own petals, spilling a little past the edges, the way real colour always does when it means it. My vine runs the length of me like gossip at a wedding, quick, delighted, going everywhere. Call me Falguni. Wear me somewhere vibrant enough to deserve my spark.

Description
Falguni takes her name from the month of colour, the one that arrives just before spring turns fully into summer and everything blooms at once. Her mehendi green carries that same restless energy, an ivory vine trailing across her the way colour spreads through a crowd, magenta and mustard blossoms opening in its path. Small cross shaped buttis scatter across the rest of the body, catching light where the vine leaves off. A fine red pinstripe closes her pallu, a last streak of colour before the border ends. Woven in Phulia, on looms that have earned national recognition for this craft, in cotton muslin so fine it sits on the body like breath rather than cloth. One garment. Two authors.

Care Instructions
Silk rewards patience. Dry clean for the first wash. After that, cold water and a gentle hand. Never wring it, never rush it. Dry in the shade — silk and sunlight are not friends. Iron on the reverse, low heat, while it is still slightly damp.
